Join us weekly on Wednesday mornings, 7:45am, to keep the Cabana and pool furniture clean and fresh. We wipe down chairs, tables and the kitchen counters, change light bulbs, remove webs and bugs from glass and light fixtures. Periodically, we clean the fans and grill. We monitor the contents of the refrigerator removing expired food and keeping it fresh. We keep the storage closet and contents of the cabinets organized, ensuring the Social Committee knows what we have for upcoming gatherings. We replenish supplies. The “men” swab down the bathrooms and we conclude by emptying the trash and sweeping.

The Election Committee is responsible for establishing a quorum for our Annual Meeting by counting proxies in advance of the meeting. In the event of an election, they also tabulate ballots, when applicable according to the Election Committee Charter. Their work is most evident as they sign in residents at our Annual Meeting, insuring sign in signatures and those on ballots and proxies match each household’s designated owner. They then tabulate the proxies and ballots for recording in the minutes. The work of this committee is largely accomplished within the final 30-45 days preceding our Annual Meeting, when the work is fast and furious!

The Welcoming Committee plays a very important role of extending a warm welcome to newcomers to Laurel Hollow and possibly to the SunCoast of Florida. They are part of the “first impression” of Laurel Hollow. Members of this committee can be part-time residents or full-time residents as long as a timely visit is scheduled with the new residents. This committee shares helpful information about the community and surrounding area and in turn gathers helpful information from the new residents, including the completion of the designated voter form that secures their right to vote in community elections.
